    무죄 판결, 무죄 인정 — acquitting은 재판에서 죄가 없다고 판정하여 무죄로 인정하는 일을 뜻한다. 신명기 25:1에서는 의인을 무죄로 하고 악인을 정죄하는 공의를 말한다.
