novative는 ‘새롭고 창의적인’이라는 뜻의 innovative와 다르다. innovative는 일반적인 칭찬 표현이지만, novative는 계약상 권리·의무의 대체라는 법률 개념에 한정된다.
innovative의 오타처럼 보일 수 있으므로 일반 글에서는 주의해야 한다. 법률 문서가 아니라면 대부분의 경우 innovative나 new를 써야 자연스럽다.
