   낡음, 옛 방식 — oldness는 ‘낡음’ 또는 ‘옛 방식’을 뜻합니다. 로마서 7장에서는 성령의 새로움과 대비되어, 율법 문자의 옛 방식으로 섬기는 것을 가리킵니다.

   The old way or state, contrasted with newness of the Spirit.

   • But now we have been released from the Law, having died to that by which we were bound, so that we serve in newness of the Spirit and not in oldness of the letter.
